Choosing a natural hair stylist

In choosing a natural stylist, what is important to you as the client? Do you look for someone that is experienced and knowledgeable? Do you want an honest stylist that will let you know what styles work for your hair types? Are you more focused on growing your hair or does it not matter as long as you look "cute"? For me, recommendations and seeing the work of the stylist is key in choosing someone. I always ask questions, especially around how gentle the stylist was, before deciding to give it a try.
